Hi,
I'm using kmail with gmail over disconnected IMAP, and although I'm pretty satisfied with the experience, I hate the message duplication that happens when I set up tags in gmail an that the tag information is lost. I'm aware that this is because of google's goofy implementation of IMAP, but still am interested in a way to interface the two in a more friendly way. The only "sane" way to do this that I see is to disable tags in GMail and perform any filtering on the client side, applying tags and finally displaying it all using virtual folders. Any other ideas? I'm open to suggestions. Serafean |

Given what you said, I believe your proposal is likely the best way (but I use my gmail account as storage only and for nothing really important).
