Using Kmail 4.9.3 on Fedora 17.
It's all right for me that kmail consults kwallet to get my passwords in order to access the mail servers. What I don't like is that after I close kmail the system somehow keeps on accessing my remote accounts and downloading any new messages. This is very inconvenient, because when I usually close kmail in one system, it means that I intend to start using it on another. If both systems go on accessing the same accounts, each one ends up downloading different e-mails and then it's very tricky to keep both systems synchronized. And btw, thanks, but I still do not intend to use imap only. Cloud computing and 24/7 internet access is still not a reality in some parts of the world... The old pop3 accounts are still good to me... How do I set up kwallet, akonadi, whatever, so that they stop accessing the mail servers after I close kmail? Thanks. |

Click on the icon next to the account in the accounts configuration window and select "Switch offline at KMail shutodwn".
