Hi there,
I got a big problem after fresh reinstall of my netbook:
Both my desktop and netbook are the same configuration as described in the header. On the netbook I have re-fresh installed kubuntu 12.04 than updated than I copy my full home directory (~/) from the desktop to the netbook with rsync
The problem is that my netbook is now unusable because akonadi agents are taking full CPU.
See the picture. http://wstaw.org/m/2012/12/30/plasma-desktopAD1842.png
Anyone knows why is that?

Other problem I have is that I do not see the main bar at the top of programm windows on the netbook (I mean the bar with window name, minimiz maximize and quit (cross) buttons). The picture above is taken from a ssh session from my desktop, so you will see those because it is on the desktop.
Why hasn't this setting been copied over to the netbook?

Any help welcome

Thanks!

Please ensure that when rsyncing between two machines that they are:
1) Using the exact same software versions (Qt, KDE, MySQL, etc)
2) That no part of KDE, Akonadi, etc is running on either machine during the transfer.

Can you confirm the above?

During r/syncing akonadi was still running, also Number 2 is not confirmed
What command should I use to properly stop it before the rsync and which other services should I stop before rsyncing (Nepomuk ? some other?)

I deleted a couple of my akonadi ressources using Akonadi and Akonadi Console than I recreated them and the problem is now solved .
I gues there was a mess in there

Ideally, you would be logged out of KDE entirely, with no applications running.

Many applications, such as Plasma Desktop only save their configuration on exit, so any rsync'ed configuration files would be overwritten.
