Hi all,
I am using Kmail from a gmai account. Everything was fine until I discovered I could not access my mails when I was off-line (Kmail visibly tring to connect to the imap account if I try to consult my messages). It seems strange but neither in .kde/share/apps/kmail. Nor in ~/Mail there is any mail. So obviously and hopefully I did something wrong but don't know what. I need help on this because for me it was a (the only) point to get my mails stored and be able to consult it without internet connection.... Regards |

Assuming that you are using a IMAP account, you can enable "disconnected mode", in the settings for the account, using a recent version of kmail.

I should have been more precise:
-I used an IMAP account. -When I select to work Off-line with Kmail then I am unable to see any message anymore. So Where should I explain to Kmail that I want him to store the email on my laptop so I can consult them Off-line ? |

I think there's some bug regarding offline mode, but I don't recall if it's already fixed, or if it requires larger changes.

- go to Settings->Configure KMail - click on "Accounts" - select your IMAP-Account and click on "Modify" - switch to the "Advanced" tab - turn on "Enable disconnected mode" - press OK But I don't know if it works since I only use online IMAP... |

"Work offline" afaik just means don't attempt to use the network. It will not magically have all your email downloaded. Using "disconnected imap" will (not by magic, it downloads them and keeps them in sync).
