Hi.
I've started to use Kjots some days ago, and I wanted to ask a few questions. Please be patient with me as I'm a recent user of KDE and it's not my habitual desktop, so probably I'm going to say/ask some nonsenses and obviousnesses. :-\ 1. I have created about 30 notes in 13 books. I have taken a look at ~/.local/share/notes/WeirdNameHere, but there are only a few of my notes and not all the books in that folder. Where in my hard disk is all that saved? Besides, there's a book I created that can't be opened, it only shows an icon of an animated circle that stays like that forever, no notes are ever shown (I created 2 or 3 in it, don't remember exactly), no matter if you wait 14 hours for them to apperar, they'll never do. Do you know what may be happening? Continuing with the misterious notes that are shown in Kjots but don't seem to exist on my disk, that rare book that never shows its content is under another a book with 3 «sub-books»; one of those «sub-books» is that one that can't be opened, the other two are well and I can open them, read and edit my notes. Kjots stores the «sub-books» under a folder with the same name of their parent books, but with a point before the name that makes it a hidden folder. Well, in the corresponding hidden folder of that parent book -the folder where its sub-books should be stored- there's only one folder, corresponding to one book -one of the two I can see in Kjots, not the «phantom» one-. Where are the other two? But the rarenesses don't end there. Said unique folder contains only one file, when in reality I have two notes in that book. But the most surrealist thing is that said file doesn't contain anything, just a header, but no trace of the text I can read and edit in the two notes I have in that sub-book in Kjots. I have used as example that book but similar things happen in a couple more of my books. So, not only not all my notes and books are saved in ~/.local/share/notes at all, but besides, many of the files that are suposed to contain what I wrote are fake and contain nothing. Where on earth are the rest of my notes? O_O 2. Why is there an option to export if there's no option to import? Isn't the export option supposed to be used for making backups of our notes and importing them again in Kjots when necessary? I am missing something? 3. Again, I am missing something or it is not possible to insert images nor videos or other audiovisual content in the notes? If, as I suppose, the answer is «No, it isn't possible», is planned to add such features and, if not, could someone recommend me another program for taking notes more complete (even my Android phone allows to create notes with images, sounds and drawings). Thanks & cheers Edit (16-2-2013): Excuse my insistence, but doesn't really anybody have a clue about all that; not even the developers that many often reply other posts? I can't believe it... |
