I am trying to use KaddressBook on KDE 4.10 openSUSE but I can not use my google groups. Google groups do not show up in the Kadressbook app and I can not add any groups to my google account from within KDE, only my personal account (local I guess). Is there support for google groups in this app, if so how do I use it?

There is another thread here viewtopic.php?f=215&t=108020&p=253307&hilit=google+groups#p253307 that seems to indicate there is support and there are some bug reports where someone indicates they have added support in KDE 4.10 Akonadi but I do not see it here.

Does anyone have Google contacts groups syncing?

What do you mean exactly by "Google groups"? Groups of contacts?

Yes, groups of contacts as seen in my google account and my android phone etc.... On the left hand side of the Google Contacts page you select "New Group" and then drag contacts into this group. They show up in Thunderbird as "Mailing List" or just List.

Apparently this will only be supported in 4.11 onwards: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-pim&m=136205613812527&w=2

Thank you for the quick reply and discovery. :) The new api looks promising, can't wait to try it. In the mean time I will make due with Thunderbird.
