I have the semantic desktop enabled and the file indexer disabled. The latter has never been enabled, so there is nothing (0 files) in my nepomuk index.

Now I'd like to enable the email indexer without enabling the file indexer. I tried by checking the email indexer in the nepomuk settings but nothing happens, when I click on the full search icon in Kmail a popup shows up saying that the semantic service is not available.

Does it mean that I need to run the file indexer if I want to use the email indexer?
