using KDE 4.10.1 on Kubuntu 12.10
it was pointed out to me that my timezone settings (view all headers) is +02.04 ... As my timezone is +2 and that is what I have set it to I have no idea where the extra 4 minutes come from. Tried to correct via KDE system settings to no avail. Is there an "rc" file somewhere where I can correct this? |

I have managed to figure out that it is somehow related to the timezone I am using, Africa/Harare, as a change to a timezone with same time UTC +0200 fixed it.
I can not see same behaviour on Thunderbird but have no idea where either KMail or Thunderbird actually picks their timezone setting from.. |

The more I and another KMail user here in Zimbabwe look at this the more likely it seems that this is a really odd bug in KMail. If Thunderbird, and I assume they pick up TZ from the same settings as KMail, set Date sent correctly but KMail add 4 minutes AND a change of TZ to a nearby timezone with same offset to UTC "fixes" it then I suspect KMail. Now how to verify this is?? I am more than uncertain. |
