Upgraded to 4.10.2 yesterday, found today that again autocompletion/suggestion of receiver in new mail have gone absent.

Only recent addresses... sigh.

anyone else seeing this, any suggestions to fix it?

Kubuntu 12.10 w KDE 4.10.2

Add to it that Groups/Distribution Lists also stopped working, this is somehow tied to autocompletion working (I know from experience...)

OK I found a workaround that I consider "not satisfactory" but it makes things work again.

There is way to make KMail look in all Nepmuk data instead of where it is so to speak supposed to (explanation way to techie for me, maybe someone can explain it).

In folder HOME/.kde/share/config there is a file "kpimcompletionorder". Add these 2 lines:
[General]
UseNepomuk=true

restart KMail and presto, completion works (you get more suggestions than before) and so does Groups

Whatever you do - do not set the value to "false", even Dolphin stopped working for unknown reasons

As I said: this is a workaround, it is NOT how it is supposed to work and I will be most happy if someone can find a "proper" solution.

To continue the story: large (well 48 contacts) Groups become unusable, KMail freezes totally. But at least autocompletion works...

But still: this is a workaround and I would really like a SOLUTION instead

Please file a bug on bugs.kde.org (but check if it has been reported first), it's the best way to contact developers (since only a handful reads this forum).

sure but first I was seeking confirmation that this is not due to my setup but a general problem - I had confirmation on kdepim-users as well kubuntu-users mailing lists. Right now trying to find out if it is kubuntu packaging or a kde regression

Got confirmation from several Kubuntu users and a Chakra user so have filed a bug:

anyone having this problem please support by confirming the bug

see
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259949#c352

a fix has been found and committed to version 4.10.3 so I set this to solved, for 4.10.2 we have to live with the workaround I have described
