I am using debian wheezy and unmodified debian packages for the kde4.8.4 desktop, all x86.
I am haveing trouble signing email from kmail using keys generated with kgpg. Some searching seems to indicate I am not alone in this issue. I have tried some suggested fixes but without success. I does seem that the problem lies in getting the passphrase entry dialogue to pop. I will be gratefull for any help with this. |

Check if you have gpg-agent up and running, first and foremost.

thankd einar
I had it up and running but still was not getting the pinentry. I am migrating from thunderbird. I removed it because it was interfering with enigmail. I can certainly reinstall it if necessary. The question will be; what then? also-for those willing to aid me in this issue - my responses may be days apart. I am not an IT pro but a member of an unrelated profession who has need of some email security and I usually can only work on these problems a few times a week thank-you |
