I have installed Kubuntu 13.04.
I tried to configure Kontact with my yahoo ID. At the time of connecting its giving me error "IMAP Resource link is broken". Also I tried to mail my friend. But I am getting Failed to transport message. The server did not accept the sender address "Gaurav Dighe@gaurav-kubuntu-13". The server responded "Syntax error in arguments" Kindly help what can I do? |

That sender address looks all wrong - it should be something like @yahoo.com (not a yahoo user, so it may not be quite like that). The best thing to do is to copy all your sending and receiving settings as a text file, then paste them here (just use xxxx for passwords). On the other hand you may be able to solve it yourself by looking at the settings given on http://pop2imap.com/yahoo_thunderbird.php . If that works for you, don't forget to tell us

I got the solution.
I opened Kontact - > Configure Kontact On the right hand side, theres a panel. In that panel, there will be "Mail". Under Mail, there will be Identities. On the right hand side, all the identities will be displayed. Either Modify the default identity with proper details or Add new Identity with proper details. I needed to add my yahoo email address there. It worked for me. |
