Hey, is it possible to disable starting korganizer daemon (you know that little icon with bell) every time you start kontact. It should start only when I use korganizer in kontact. Using opensuse 11.0, kde 4.1.3 (factory packages).

OK, I see you posted this about ten months ago, and there are no replies. I was hoping to do the same thing. Did you manage to find anything out? I'm using openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.3.1 |

Do you *really* mean that you don't want to be reminded of an appointment unless you have kontact open?

Hi Anne,
Believe it or not, that is exactly what I want to do. |

Unusual, to say the least No, it's easy enough to stop the icon showing in the system tray, but it would still be running. I can't see where that gets launched. Sorry.

Have you checked in KOrganizer > Settings > Configure KOrganizer for an option to do this? While I have never seen one in my limited use of it, it may be present.
