Hello.

KMail 1.13.7. If I want to use quick filter, I can press Alt+Q, type something, message list becomes filtered, and what should I do next to unfocus filter field, return to list and navigate through it by + / - / <Left> / <Right> / etc? <Enter> opens current message, <Esc> does not do anything, <Tab> lets focus go troughout all layout except message list.

Thank you.

I want this too, I don't think it exists.

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

Can this be considered as minor bug? I have not found it at bug tracker. Whether I should submint a report?

Yes, good idea, you can do that. I might fix it myself in fact, because it has been annoying me for some time... but submitting a bug is a good idea in any case :)

Oops. I was wrong. It enough to press <Tab> once to make <Left> / <Right> and other hotkeys control message list, folder view and so on. On the contrary, status combobox ignores any keys while in focus, so it impossible to filter new / unread / which has attach messages without mouse.

P. S. However, <Esc> would be more natural for this. But it is not subject for bug report, I think.

I’ve sent report [1] about searching by status and mentioned returning focus by <Esc> here.
