Hello,
I have a problem with KMail 4.11.2, IMAP server is courier-imap 4.8.0 from debian oldstable. If I delete an IMAP folder it disappears for half of a second and then reappears but empty. On the server side the folders contents are deleted, the folder is not. Sometimes the folders disappears from the server side subscriptions sometimes not, when I delete it. I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, solved it by deleting all my kmail config and account information. But this not something I want to do like once a month. Deleting works fine with trojita. Any idea anyone? Thanks! |

If you delete the folder server-side, I assume that KMail picks up the change correctly?

You assume correctly. They are almost instantly gone in KMail when deleted on the server. |

You may want to open a bug report for this, following the instructions at http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/PIM/Akonadi/Debug_IMAP
In the mean time I'll try to get in touch with people who have worked with the IMAP code.

There is a bug report existing: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324932 which shows the exact error I have
It seems to be fixed. |

Oh, right, now I remember what the exact issue is. It's the server that doesn't allow deleting a selected folder (as in IMAP SELECT command). I don't remember if the patch has already went in, though.

The fix for this issue has landed in KDE's git, and will be part of the next stable release:
