Not all messages in folders : akonadi does not index all?

Hi!
After upgrading to 4.11 I started to notice that not all messages appear in my local folders. I can only see those that were added recently. Obviously, the files with those messages are in place. Sometimes, however, old messages appear but I do not seem to figure out any pattern.

I tried to reindex those folders, and everything from the top. The only thing I did not do was to remove the files with databases and create it from scratch. I also do not have Nepomuk index my local files because I do not want it doing so. I have it index emails, though.

May be anyone has seen something of that kind and can comment?

Thanks in advance,

Nepomuk and indexing have likely no relation with the issue you're experiencing: perhaps the message cache is corrupt. Are these folders local?

Yes, they are local. This mail is from a pre-akonadi era.

FIrst of all, back up the messages (the actual files), for extra safety. Then run "akonadiconsole", click on the "Browser" tab, locate your folder, right click and select "Clear Akonadi cache". This should wipe all cached information, which will be re-read next time the folder is accessed, hopefully solving the problem.

Ok, it worked. Is there any way to automatically clear caches on all folders, sit recreates them again?

So far there isn't an option to do so: I admit I've seen this scenario (needing to manually clean the cache) not too often, though.

I have found yet another strange behavior: after cleaning and updating cache some messages get doubled. Why?

And if I try to clean the cache a third time, I can see some messages tripled!!!

What a joy! If I close kmail and clean the cache and start kmail again, doubles and triples disappear. Why does it work this way? >:(
