Hope someone can throw some light on this.

Migrated my home folder to a partition on another disk. Then rsync'ed all the data to this.

Home folder works OK apart from akonadi/kontact.

Akonadi starts the server and control daemons but does not pick up the agents.
Stopping akonadi and restarting using akonadi console picks up the agents and they sync OK.

Now when kontact starts initially all the folders look OK. But then they re-load and become unreadable - this happens every few minutes or so.

Using the Systems Activity I can see that before kontact starts there is one instance of mysqld running, but after kontact starts there are then 3 instances of mysqld running, and every time kontact reloads, a second instance of akonadiserver appears then disappears a few seconds later.

Anyone any idea ----
1. what's going on ?
2. how to get back to a sane akonadi/kontact ?
