Hi,
I set up Arch Linux with the latest KDE and everything went fine. After a few weeks Akonadi suddenly refuses to start. Here's the output: http://pastebin.com/Zk59TRV0 I already tried akonadi fsck but with no success (not even an output). Akonadi still is a black box for me so where do I start to solve the problem? TIA! |

fyi - the command you ran was actually akonadictl fsck and I too see no output It's probably this bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326480 There are posts claiming that deleting all your akonadi files/folders and letting them regenerate will fix this, my experience is it may or may not. I don't have a real solution but I found killing mysql and then rebooting occasionally works for me but I think its more a coincidence that it worked. I also find that if I hibernate instead of rebooting the problem doesn't occur until I reboot, if it reoccurs there's a post somewhere suggesting the following (didn't work for me consistantly if at all)
If you want to try removing all your akonadi files they're located in: $KDEHOME/share/config/akonadi* ~/.config/akonadi/* (iirc you should keep the folder and just remove the files) ~/.local/share/akonadi |

Thanks for your reply.
The first suggested solution didn't work for me, too but deleting the akonadi folders solved the problem. |
