I'm primarily using Thunderbird for work e-mail, and had it connected to LDAP server for contacts. Recently however it stopped working and I couldn't figure out whether it's TB or LDAP server problem, so I was looking for an alternative access to LDAP contacts and saw that KAdderssBook supports it. I added my LDAP server in KAdderssBook's LDAP Server Settings, and enabled its checkbox there, but couldn't figure out how to actually fetch any contacts or search for them. I have "Personal Address Book" in KAdderssBook, with no contacts there. So how can I actually get to the LDAP contacts?

Any clue? This is really not intuitive, and "Help" info doesn't really help anything.

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with LDAP addressbooks. You may want to email the kdepim-users mailing list, as some developers also read it.
