Dear Kde users,
I'm migrating from Evolution 3.4.4 to Debian Kde 4.8.4 and Kmail version 1.13.7 My Evolution folders are Maildir so I would use the filter for Evolution 3.x. But in this version of Kmail I only have the the options to import Evolution 2.x and 1.x According to this article there is a filter for 3.x http://docs.kde.org/stable/es/kdepim/kmail/importing.html#idp14484656 but I cannot find any kmail changelog that refers to this. Since the mail is organized in a folder like tree, it has lots of subfolders. So it would be very time consuming to copy one folder at a time with evolution to mbox. Sadly the way Kmail and Evolution store subfolders is incompatible, so shared folders are not an option. Is there a way to download this filter and make it run out of Kontact? Or maybe it is possible to create a new account in evolution, transfer mail there so it stores like an mbox, import mbox from kmail ...? Thanks! |

The ability to import Evolution 3.x mails is only available in recent version of KDEPIM (4.10-4.11-4.12). Unfortunately the versions shipped by Debian are extremely old and do not provide this feature.

Sorry for the late response. Been switching email accounts and the notification slipped. |
