Hi,
i have the Problem some Toolmails are sent without from, to, date fields and kmail is not able to interpret this field from the envelope_to, envelope_from and received_date like other mail clients. I would ask for a scipt that set up the missing fields directly in the local mails over akonadi, but i dont know how to do this. I know, missing fields are a problem of the sender, or sender smtp, but a cant change this from here and would use kmail in future too, please help me for this. My idea is to go directly in mysqlDB and change or script it via akonadi, please help me with this. I tried with imapfilter, but this supports only setting flags, not writing other things in the headers. Regards Stefan |

I would recommend not to change anything through the DB, as this would have side effects. I would rather set up filters to add information on the fly as email is received: you can add headers when filtering messages.

I tried, to filter with no date, but thats impossible.
I can set up lower, greater than date or a specific date, but no "is unavailable". |

In the Filter actions (Settings > Configure Filters) there are "Add header" or "Remove header" actions, which you can use to add headers to your messages.
(Notice that I can't test this, because I use server-side filtering) Regarding filtering for "absent", if that's not possible please file a wishlist request on bugs.kde.org.
