Hi guys,
I wanted to print out only the highligthed part of a received mail (not wanting the additional header and footer ****...). Is there any possibility to do that? I read about this "fixed" bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259784 but I can't find a corresponding option in KMail 4.11.3. Best regards nixda |

I can't seem to do this, either. Can you follow up on that bug, explaining exactly what you are doing to try and print an email?

I want to mark a part of an email by mouse and then print exactly this part, not more. Due to the reason of long headers or the traditional "reply tree" in emails this would be a nice feature. Currently I can only go to the printer dialog and select the pages I want to print. But this would be only a rough approximation of the part I want to print.

I don't think this is actually possible at the moment. You may want to file a wishlist on bugs.kde.org to ensure this is not lost and the developers get a chance to look at it.

But how do you understand this bugreport https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259784, which is marked as solved? I interpreted this as exactly the same idea I described above, so wouldn't it be a duplicate bug report?

There's an option to check : go to Configure KMail > Misc > Printing and check "Only print selected text".
However you can't remove the header, it seems. For that a wishlist report would be useful.
