Kmail - Download headers for all, messages only for select

I am using KMail 4.11.3 on KDE 4.11.3 on Kubuntu 13.10.
I have set-up a gmail account using Account Wizard. There are many folders and a couple of GB of email on the account. I want KMail to download headers in all folders but full message content only for a select few. How do I do that?

I'm not sure how to define "select few", but if you don't set disconnected mode for IMAP, only headers are fetched, and bodies are retrieved when you access the message in question.
