I need to have 24/7 access to my KOrganizer calendar via my Android Kit Kat. But I do not want to keep my computer on 24/7. What I am thinking is to upload and sync the calendar to a website on my server and having my computer and my Android accessing the calendar from my server. I also wnat to be able to have appointments entered in either on my phone or computer to instantly be updated on server and the other device.
BTW, I'm running Mint 16 xfce and server is running Red Hat enterprise. I have iCal loaded on my phone but how do I get an iCal file to the server? |

The best solution IMO is to use a CardDAV/CalDAV server, for example Kolab or ownCloud, so that syncing can be done transparently on mobile devices and on the desktop.
