setting 'from address' to the original 'to address'

hi, i did a search on this in this forum and i didn't find any reference to this so here is my question,
is there any plan to introduce the ability to reply to an email and have the new 'from address' automagically be filled as the 'to address' of the original message?

i doubt i'm alone in having my own domain names and using many email addresses (for multiple reasons i shan't bore you with).
it seems natural that in general a person would want ordinary mail sent to them to be replied to from the address used to send it to them.
not all mail is ging to be sorted into a folder specific to a particular 'to address', mail that is has the useful existing function of setting an identity for the folder, esp. useful for mailing lists.
but in my general inbox i have lots and lots of emails sent to individualised addresses in my domains that do not warrant a folder all to themselves. often the addresses are only used for a few rounds of communication and in the moment it is easy to forget that i need to specify the 'form address' to be different to the default identity.
i looked at custom templates but unfortunately only pre-filled in 'to' and 'cc' addresses can be used, not programatic addresses from the original mail and not 'from addresses' at all.

I'm not sure if I understood the question right, so let me try to rephrase. Feel free to correct me.

You (person A) are replying to person B's mail. You want your own email (A) to be also added to the To: address along with B's address? Is that what you mean?
If that's the case you could configure an identity in KMail, and under th Advanced tab of the identity, put the address under "CC addresses" or "BCC addresses". Not exactly what you want, but a possibility.

i have a domain (actually several but one will illustrate), my default identity for my inbox is 'bascule@domain'

but i give out a lot of addresses that are of the form 'someother@domain'

when i receive an email addressed to one of the 'someother@domain' and i reply, the 'from address' is automatically filled as the default identity for my inbox, not as from 'someother@domain', in 99.99% of cases i'll want to reply to my correspondee using the same email address i used before and the address to which they sent their mail to me. yes i can create a new identity for every email address i use but this is laborious, and yes perhaps i should remember every time i reply to check the 'from' field, but i am human and in the to and fro of reading and composing lots of emails this is easily forgotten, so an automagic filling in of the 'from' field would be useful

It doesn't work if you set aliases in your identity? (I'm curious, since I don't use them, but perhaps they may give you what you need).
