Kmail, GnuPG and Subkeys

Fri Feb 07, 2014 5:10 pm
Hi there,

does kmail recognize subkeys for signing and encryption? I can only select my master key in kmail 4.8.5 but not the subkeys.
Is there a way to get this working (maybe a workaround (or update?)) or what's the current status?

My current key setup:

- MasterKey A only for signing other keys
- - Subkey A.1 for encryption
- - Subkey A.2 for encryption (low security)
- - Subkey A.3 for signing files, mails, ...

I am new to this crypto stuff and I read it is common to use subkeys for every day use.
If you need more infos, tell me.

Thanks in advance!
