Hi Gents,
I run KDE 4.11.5 on ThinkPad T520, OS: openSUSE 13.1 (x86_64) with 8GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD - so in general a quick system. But displaying a HTML mail takes about 5-8 seconds until it displays (not even loading external references and pictures). Is this a known bug, and maybe with a solution in 4.12.2? Thx! |

Have you got indexing enabled? Does anything change if you disable it?

Good question...I did not even know that KMail has such a feature.
Where can I check it? Thx! |

Try checking System Settings -> Desktop search.

OK, Nepomuk....
Anyway, I switched it off, without notifiable changes in response time |

Did you try upgrading to 4.12.x, if it possible? Alternatively, can you try with a different user account?

Hm, I really wanted to stay with the distro-version of KDE, but it looks like you are always forced to upgrade
![]() I have now one machine running KDE 4.12.2, but the result remains the same. I filed https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331156 for this. Thank you anyway for your support! |
