If I'm using the threaded view and I get a new reply to a message that's a part of a thread the thread is not moved to the top, it is sorted by the first message in the thread. I have my message list sorted by date received. This causes me to miss important messages sometimes. Is there anyway to set kmail to bring the entire thread to the top of my list (sorted by the most recent email in the thread)?

I'm using "Current activity, by thread", but at the moment I'm not sure if it does what you want.

That's what I've switched to as well. It's not really what I want though. I would much prefer to keep the entire thread intact. |

Did you try creating a custom aggregation?

That would probably work, but I've never played around with that. May need to... EDIT I looked into creating my own aggregation, but there isn't enough options to make it work. Basically, I can make it work like the current activity option or the activity by date. Not going to do what I want sadly ![]() |

Please file a wishlist request on bugs.kde.org with regards to the missing functionality. It may help if you give some use cases, as well.

Good news! There's actually a way to do exactly what I want! Found about about this while I was searching before submitting a bug as was suggested by einar.
