KMail 4.12.2 - SOLVED

Sun Feb 23, 2014 5:29 pm
Hi!
I did update KDE from 4.11.4 to KDE 4.12.2. and I have some problems:

First there were to identical Local Folders with subfolders and emails. Than I got to "Manage Local Subscriptions" and unsubscribed from one and also check "subscribed only" which cannot stay checked (saved). The other one is when I got emails they are sorted to subfulders (as I have filters) correct but I got error message (Notifications) about "cannot moving emails to folders". Is the problem related to akonadi or to KMail, please?

Thanks in advance.

Manage local subscriptions only makes sense if you are using IMAP accounts, IIRC. Are you using that for local folders? Can you also check in the accounts page (Configure KMail > Accounts) if there are multiple local folders accounts?

No, I am using pop (gmail) and in setings for local folders is:
/home/user/.local/share/local-mail/

I didn't have problems before update to 4.12.2

P.S.

Errors which I got:
Local Folders: Could not move message '1393242927.R826.bla.bla.net' from '/home/user/.local/share/local-mail/inbox' to '/home/user/.local/share/local-mail/GIMP'.

Can you try re-creating your filters? Export them as backup first.

It makes me mad...

It is the same. Filters works as before and move emails correct but I got at the same time error messages. I don't understand why.

It works now after deleted all akonadi files and .kde4 directory.
Now I have a problem how to get old emails. I have saved them as old KMail files (for example: blabla/cur/new/tmp).
I don't want to have a problems again. Is it possible to imported them or some other way, please?

Thank you.

You could create a local folders resource that can point to the existing maildir and in theory it should pick them up.

Thank you very much for the help.
What I did? I manually copy emails to Inbox (cur) than made filters and it works. I have all old emails in the new KMail :).
