Kmail does not load mail

I started to like Kmail. Suddenly it stops loading mail even if I click the check mail button. I know I have new mail but it doesn't show up in Kmail. I have Google account with IMAP. What should I do? Thanks.

The Kmail version is 4.12.3. I don't know where to find the version of KDE PIM

Do new mails appear if you close and reopen KMail?

Yes it does. Does this bug only happen in a period of time?

This is a known bug (actually, different bugs with the same visual results), and IIRC it's at least partially fixed (most, but not all reporters say so) in the upcoming 4.13 release.

Glad to hear this is a known problem and it will get fixed soon. I noticed the problem while trying the beta release of Ubuntu trusty tahr. Do you think the fix will be ready in time for the final release build of Ubuntu 14.04 ?

I think so, as 14.04 will have a full 4.13 stack.
