Hello,
I setup my own mail server running postfix, dovecot, and roundcube on Ubuntu 12.04. I am trying to add it to kmail. I have everything setup but when I click Auto Detect in the Advanced tab (editing the account) kmail tries to auto-detect the connection settings and it freezes at 100%. I have connected to the mail server using OpenSSL and have imported the certificate using kleopatra. What should I do?

KDE 4.12.3 on Arch.

Edit: this only happens with IMAP. POP3 works. I would rather be using IMAP though...

Do you have any log on the server when this occurs? Did you try running kmail from a terminal and checking the output? Also, are you using a self-signed certificate?

(I've been using that setup for years, and I never occurred into that issue, hence I'm guessing something breaks in the KMail-server interaction)
