joshaughnessy Registered Member Posts 33 Karma 0 OS	the REPLY button or the key R sends the main to the replyer Wed May 14, 2014 5:33 pm Why does hitting the "reply" button or pressing "R" send the reply back to me instead of the sender? Is that not a bit stupid? A reply is always a new mail addressed to the sender of the one you received. Hitting the reply button should do that by default (as in any other email client) Using Kmail on KDE 4.13
airdrik Registered Member Posts 1854 Karma 5 OS	Re: the REPLY button or the key R sends the main to the repl Wed May 14, 2014 7:42 pm Using Kmail in KDE 4.13 (kubuntu 12.04 + backports), and hitting the reply button and pressing R both put the sender of the selected message in the To field, unless the sender is myself, in which case it puts the recipient (e.g. I sent a message to joe; I select the sent message to joe and hit reply -> it puts joe in the To field). Unfortunately, I don't have any other insight into why your install seems to be misbehaving. airdrik, proud to be a member of KDE forums since 2008-Dec.

I reinstalled KDE and updated 4.13, it no longer happens, but this is not really a solution as I never found out why it occurred in the first place. Closing this as solved though.
