Why does hitting the "reply" button or pressing "R" send the reply back to me instead of the sender?
Is that not a bit stupid? A reply is always a new mail addressed to the sender of the one you received. Hitting the reply button should do that by default (as in any other email client) Using Kmail on KDE 4.13 |

Using Kmail in KDE 4.13 (kubuntu 12.04 + backports), and hitting the reply button and pressing R both put the sender of the selected message in the To field, unless the sender is myself, in which case it puts the recipient (e.g. I sent a message to joe; I select the sent message to joe and hit reply -> it puts joe in the To field).
Unfortunately, I don't have any other insight into why your install seems to be misbehaving.

I can't reproduce this either. Can you check your identity settings to see if you have added anything there?

I reinstalled KDE and updated 4.13, it no longer happens, but this is not really a solution as I never found out why it occurred in the first place. Closing this as solved though. |
