Hello everybody,
I'm having some troubles with KMail. All my deleted or moved emails stay in their original folder but greyed out. I haven't been able to find anything that could possibly indicate where the isssue is coming from. Thank you for your help. Johan |

What type of account are you using? POP, IMAP?

I'm using two IMAP accounts, one Google Mail and one university account. Both are affected by the same problem.
I forgot to mention that my KMail version is 4.12.5. Should I try to reinstall KMai/Kontact? |

Given that you're on 4.12.5, what is the status of Desktop Search? (System Settings > Desktop Search)
Also you may want to check for debug output: open a terminal, issue "akonadictl restart" and try to reproduce the issue. See if any output is written there in the terminal.

I have removed all my identities, incoming and outgoing accounts and it seems that everything is working fine again.
If it is allright for you, I will wait a few days before I mark the post as "solved" to be sure everything is working fine ![]() Thank you for your help, Johan |

For lurkers: Deleting and re-adding accounts worked for me, too. Must have broken something while playing with other IMAP features.

I know this topic is quite outdated, but I'm on KMail 5.2.3, August 2017, and I have the same problem. Is it possible that the bug is persisting since so long? Or this is not a bug but a "feature". In case affirmative, how to disable the feature?
Thanks. |
