I want to do a backup of Kmail after having passed a lot of barriers migrating almot a 100% from MS Outlook.
Before integrating my imap mail accounts I need to backup my work but I don't trust the linux PIMs yet. So a backup is mandatory not to waste too much time. BUT when I try to backup using the kmail export tool it says "mysqldump cannot be found, export terminated" I only have imported local mail folders, which I imported from thunderbird. --> http://www.willemer.de/informatik/linux/kde/kontact.htm --> failure --> I tried to install mysqldump but does not exist in Kubuntu 14.04 reps. --> failure --> I can't even find the imported mail folders. Before backing up the entire ~/home directory I ask here if anybody has an idea? Help is highly apreciated. Cheers, W. |

This is a Kubuntu bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/770689). You can fix it by installing mysql-client.
