Importing Contacts

Sun Dec 21, 2014 1:38 pm
Before I moved from Windows to Kubuntu I saved my contacts on Google Drive.

On downloading them (zip file), I see that they are saved as xml files.

Can I import these into kaddressbook, or must I key them in one by one

Thanks

iirc correctly no, what I would do if possible is to startup Windows and export the contact list to some standard format like csv or vcard and then import it OR import the file to outlook.com and then export it

note: per Google contacts help Outlook doesn't export all fields like pic's and attachments

Google'ing may show programs or services that do the conversion if Windows and Outlook not available

I would like to recommend vCard Export Import software which has ability to import multiple contacts. This vCard converter tool helps you to execute the task within few seconds.
