Hello,
running akonadi 1.13.0 with KMail 4.14 under archlinux (Plasma 5.1.2, Frameworks 5.5.0) My IMAP resource has all of a sudden started to complain with the following message: "Could not read password: user rejected wallet access". The wallet is open and the other akonadi resoucres can access it fine, e.g. owncloud, google etc. This results in the resource switching between broken and trying to access the server multiple times a second. Since that also results in popiup-windows being opened and immediately closed again I had to stop akonadi completely to regain control over my desktop. Any Ideas as to what could cause that Problem all of a sudden? There were no system updates to those components, the only thing I did was install the frameworks ports of bluedevil. I uninstalled them now and will be testing if that solves the situation, but I doubt it. In hope for enlightened answers Philipp

I tested with another IMAP-Server and that one works, and the password correctly shows up in kwalledmanager.
So I tried removing the resource, removing the kwallet entry, the remaining entry under .kde4/share/config/akonadi_imap_resource_0, restarted akonadi and readded the resource: same problem. The Password also isn't added to kwallet, so something is very broken in my config. Checked at another PC if it was working there (Kubuntu 14.04, stock 4.13.x) and it runs like a charm. My Webinterface (Roundcube) also works, so until I figure this out I will have to use that -.- EDIT: Sometimes things can be that easy. After Testing with another user failed I finally checked the server-logs. Turns out that my dovecot instance produced "connection limit exceeded" messages. Think back: Yes, I did upgrade that server from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04, and yes, as dovecot als made a major version jump I reset all conf files. Set the max connection limit to what it was before, and voila. Strange though that I didn't get that warning under 4.13, but hey. It works again. Also: I hope they revamp the error messages when rewriting akonadi, since the message was kind of misleading…. |
