SOLVED-kmail, akonadi, zombies

Mon Jan 12, 2015 12:29 pm
Hi!

I have a problem with zombies after using of KMail.
I have KDE 4.14.3 and it works good except there is a
problem with KMail and zombies.
I use pop server (gmail) and I have many filters.
When I downloaded email it come in correct directories (filters work) but I got
all the time messages like this one:

Local Folders: Could not move message 'number.blabla.net' from
/home/user/.local/share/akonadi_maildir_resource/inbox' to
/home/user/.local/share/akonadi_maildir_resource/FreeBSD-KDE'.
The error was Cannot locate mail file 'number.blabla.net'

Above is example and I got for each directory which I have the same error but
all email are moved to the correct directories.

I deleted all akonadi settings and database complete and the problem is still
here. And after I closed the KMail I have 15 or more zombies (on depend how many emails I had)

Do you know the parent process of these zombies? Do you know anything else than their PID? I'm trying to figure out which component is breaking.

Again me...
Maybe will help you:
Many times, special from the mailing list, KMail double emails (almost every time). Maybe is the problem related from a problem from the subject, please?
I did try at this moment: one mail - doubled and one zombie more.

Control process died, committing suicide!

This isn't good at all. Can you try to issue "akonadictl restart" from a terminal, and paste the output to a pastebin service (link here afterwards) once the issue appears.

We have some update of KDE ports and the problem with errors gone. There are stil duplicate emails but I think many users have them too.

Thank you very much for the help.
