I use KMai on my Desktop and on my notebook; Akonadi SQL database runs on a Synology. I read my emails via IMAP but download important emails to a centralized Folder on my synology in order to Access These mails also with my Notebook. Now if I look into the local Folder on my Notebook and I mark an email as read it disappears from the local Folder accessed by the Desktop (and vice versa)! Is there any Explanation on this? By disappears, you mean deleted, or is it marked as read in both places?

Hi, thanks for your prompt reply! "Disappear" means it just vanishes. I cannot see it anymore... Here is exactly what is Happening. Maybe you can help me. I use two computers (a desktop and a notebook). On either I use KMail/akonadi and access my mail accounts by IMAP. The local folder (with its subfolders) is situated on a Server (Synology DiskStation) because my idea is to share this folder on both computers. Now comes the unbelievable/unexplainable: on computer A I move an email from the inbox folder of an IMAP server to the local folder (say trash) and mark it as read. I then, of course, can see this read email in the local trash folder of computer A. On computer B this email pops up in the local trash folder as a new message and I get a notification. Now I mark this email on Computer B as read (obviously this is annoying but I could get along with it) and have it - thus - as a read email in the local trash folder of computer B. However, when I now look in the local trash folder of computer A the email has disappeared/vanished. It has simply gone... Does anybody know why this is the case? Can anybody tell me where the email on computer A has gone? Should I report a bug?

First of all, you may want to inspect the folder on the NAS to see if the disappearing mails are there. If they aren't please file a bug on bugs.kde.org with severity "grave" and mentioning data loss in the title.
