Hello,
Kmail fails to properly sync emails when an account is accessed on multiple devices like Android and web. If I read an email on web then the read status may or may not be synced back to my local Kmail setup. Everybody's favorite answer has been that its a Google backend problem. My new observation is that "disconnected mode" might have something to do with it. I always use disconnected mode so that I can read mails offline. On a new setup I am not using disconnected mode and the syncing has been flawless. Has anybody else noticed similar problems when using disconnected mode with Gmail? Thanks. |

Hello,
I have the same problem. Have you find a solution ? I work with Plasma 5, Akonadi with Postgresql (with MySql I have also the problem) and KMail 5.0.2 (15.08). Bye Charlie |

I haven't seen this issue, but I'm not using GMail. Whether the status, when reading a mail, is propagated to the mail server (let's not forget that the mobile and Web UI are clients, too) is client-specific (K-9 Mail, for example, usually sets the "read" status on non push folders only for each sync). So while you see for example a status marked as read on the phone or on the Web, the message may have not been yet marked read on the server itself.
This is how I understood the problem: if I'm wrong, please provide more details so this can be investigated further.
