Hi,
I've been trying to get Kmail working with my work's Office 365 business account but am having no luck whatsoever. The account is setup as IMAP with the following settings: Server: outlook.office365.com Port: 993 Encryption: SSL/TLS Username: USERNAME@ORGANISATION.org.uk Authentication: PLAIN When the account is first created in Kmail, the correct IMAP folders (Inbox, Clutter, Sent Items, etc) show up in the tree pane to the left but when trying to download emails, it gets stuck at 0% with the status message "Syncing folder 'Inbox'". I've given it a couple of hours but nothing happens, it just stays there with that message at 0% progress. I have two other accounts, Gmail and a self-hosted IMAPS account, both of which work fine. Using nethogs, I can see that process "/usr/bin/akonadi_imap_resource" uses a constant 1-5 KB/s of bandwidth while "syncing". Running "tcpdump -i br0 -v" gives a constant flood of these two lines: 19:05:03.232365 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 64, id 56774, offset 0, flags [DF], proto TCP (6), length 157) arch.59582 > 132.245.76.210.imaps: Flags [P.], cksum 0x9402 (incorrect -> 0x267f), seq 1873:1990, ack 1989, win 768, length 117 19:05:03.333080 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 45, id 13447, offset 0, flags [DF], proto TCP (6), length 157) 132.245.76.210.imaps > arch.59582: Flags [P.], cksum 0x85f0 (correct), seq 1989:2106, ack 1990, win 4016, length 117 Running "akonadictl restart && kmail" in a terminal then attempting to sync my O365 account gives the following output: http://pastebin.com/RX1JdnX6 I've cleared the cache for the O365 account using akonadiconsole... nothing. I've tested my O365 account in Thunderbird and that works just fine with the same connection settings. I really want to be able to use KMail as my primary mail application as I really like KDE and its apps but I need to get my work account sorted for that to happen. ![]() Thanks. |

Is the account marked as online in Akonadiconsole? Looks like we'll need deeper debug to see what's going on.
Open a terminal, type "export IMAP_TRACE=1" and then issue akonadictl restart. It *should* be more verbose when attempting to sync. See if there's anything useful in that output. If this fails, we'll try an even more verbose debug option.

The account is marked as "Online, Idle" or "Online, Running (0%)" under "Status" in the "Agents" tab.
Here's the output of running "akonadictl restart" and "kmail" in terminal with IMAP_TRACE=1: http://pastebin.com/Wtifd4c5 Thanks for your reply. ![]() |

I'm happy to report that this should be fixed as of today, and the problem should be solved in Applications 15.08.2.
