Kmail 4.14.2
OS: Linux Mint 17.2 KDE I changed my default Composer >> Standard Templates >> "Reply to Sender" setting to:
This initially worked without issue but now I don't see the usual > when replying to people. This is also the case for Composer >> Standard Templates >> "Reply to All" even though, so far as I can tell, there hasn't been a change:
Outside of this, the P and N keys don't move up and down through emails as they usually would. Sometimes, I seem to be able to move one or two with P and N but very shortly afterwards, the shortcut keys no longer work. For now, I'm avoiding resetting to defaults in settings because I'm not sure whether this is for only the category of settings (for example, only Composer settings) or is universal. |

I'm unable to test the behavior of P and N, probably because the shortcuts have changed (or I messed them up in the KF5 port, which is the current version.
I'm not sure for templating, I just tested something recently with quotes and it worked for me: but again, I'm using the version which will be in Applications 15.12. 4.14.x is stable, but old and receives bugfixes only occasionally.

I moved from KDE4 to KDE5 without any sort of migration. I believe I had to assign next and previous message N and P accordingly but have no issues so far. |

If your issue is solved, can you mark the thread as such with the tick mark icon? Thanks!

I'll mark it resolved although I believe other people may run into this issue. They can always start a new thread. |

I had the same problem with n/p, the default shortcuts for next and previous short cuts. I set them and could use them once and then they would not work - they had disappeared from customization. I wanted to reset to defaults. I wanted to first save my shortcut scheme. I clicked [new] and gave it a name. Then I chose the default scheme (I didn't click defaults). The default scheme had all my customizations and now my short cut keys are persistent and work. So, perhaps I need to select [new] scheme every time I change a shortcut in order to save them.
