I added the CalDAV link from my Fastmail account into the Calendar tab in Kontact, and while I am able to update the calendar, I can't seem to be able to pull information from the same calendar on Fastmail onto a different computer that is also subscribed to the same calendar.
So why are the calendars in Kontact not pulling the full information from the same CalDAV URL? Both machines are running openSUSE Tumbleweed with the Applications, Extras, and Framework5 repositories. |

It would be a good idea to run "akonadictl restart" on a terminal, then try to manually sync a calendar where it doesn't work (right click on the calendar -> Update...) and see if some debug output is printed to the terminal (unfortunately it's very verbose).

Yes, it is quite verbose and a bit difficult to understand. The more puzzling thing is, one of my machines running the Kubuntu 14.04 version of Kontact works without issue. I have tried deleting and adding the Calendar again, but there appears to be nothing being pulled. I will try out a few more things. |

I realise something while upgrading from KMail4 to KMail5 on one of my openSUSE Tumbleweed machines. Not all updated components were pulled, including KWallet5.
Both machines which were unable to pull in calendar details happen to be running Plasma 5 while the one machine which could pull in all details is running Kubuntu 14.04. I have tried deleting the calendar on Tumbleweed and setting up CalDAV again, but the only schedule that appears in Calendar are the ones that I set up on the machine - although the details are still uploaded to my CalDAV account on Fastmail. Is there possibly a missing component necessary to get all the details pulled in from a Caldav server? |

Do you mean that sync is only one-way, that is, events created in Fastmail will not get propagated to KMail?

Sorry for not being clear.
Setup: Schedules created in Calendar in computer A (Tumbleweed running Plasma 5) are propagated to Fastmail Schedules created in computer B (Tumbleweed running Plasma 5) are propogated to Fastmail. Schedules created in Computer C (Kubuntu 14.04 running KDE4) are propagated to Fastmail. Outcome: Computer A only syncs events it created. Computer B only syncs events it created. Only computer C pulls in all information from the CalDAV server from Fastmail. All are pulling in data from the same CalDAV link. I imagine there is some kind of metadata that is causing Calendar to only pull in data for a specific computer, though that is not the desired behaviour. |
