yesterday I had some filesystem issues and I tried to fix them by fixing permissions of various directories.
Rest of the day things seemed to be ok, but when I startet the box today - the whole mail-archive was gone.

I read, that akonadi is only used for metadata, so I have a little hope, that my data will stil be there.
Reverting my directory-permission-changes from yesterday did not bring my data back, so something has been destroyed.

Is there any tool, that can help my find the data and bring it back into live?

What kind of data did you have? Local mail? IMAP mail? Knowing that is key to see how to recover it.
