KMail: Invalid signature

Fri Jan 08, 2016 9:46 am
Hello,

Note: This is NOT about cryptographic signatures, but about the blob that goes at the end of a mail.

I used a kmail identity with a signature like

Dipl.-Ing. Donald Duck
No Money Systems
Institute for this and that
Street 38 | 70512 Entenhausen | Germany

Tel: +49 (0)224 4346 36215

(copied from the textfield, changed for some privacy)

Now I copied this exact text to a file ~/.signature for sharing the sig with other MUAs and tried to set kmail to that file. But all it's says is "Die Signatur ist ungültig" (The signature is invalid).

Any hints what KMail expects? I also tried adding "-- " at the top, but no change. (shouldn't be needed anyway, since it's not part of the sig).

Thanks!

I've noticed the same issue. I'll poke some people around next week to see what could be the cause.
