When I try to paste content, for example from a webpage, in a HTML message, text is pasted correctly but images are't, Kmail shows an icon of a blank leave in every image's position. I don't see in this form where I'm writing how to upload a screenshot of my PC, but the icon is similar to this image, but much smaller and pixelated: http://svejer.com/pic3/page.png
The only way to get images in Kmail via copy/paste is going back to the original content, the aforesaid webpage, for example, copy each image individually, paste it in Kmail and repeat for each image; so, go figure if I want to send several mails with some content from other sources with like 5 or 6 images each... Well, is there a way to solve this that perhaps I haven't seen, or is just a bug in Kmail's editor? I'm using Kmail 5.1 on KDE/Plasma 5.5.3, BTW. Cheers.

Can you file a bug report on bugs.kde.org with a simple test case? That would help in getting the issue fixed.

Ah, so it is a bug? I wasn't sure, since I'm not a very long time Kmail user, so I preferred to ask first. I'll file a bug. Thank you. |

Hi, Einar. I was going to file the bug, but my user and/or password aren't accepted by bugs.kde.org. I thought my account here was a unique account for all kde.org, like a Google account, which serves for Google, Google groups, Gmail, etc. It's not that way and I have to create a new one on bugs.kde.org, no? Ciao. |

bugs.kde.org is not integrated with the KDE SSO infrastructure (Identity): that means you need a separate login for it.

![]() I hoped my aasumption to be wrong... Ok, I'll open another account there. If some person in charge of kde.org infrastructure reads this: Please, make things as easy as possible for users to collaborate centralizing all KDE community stuff as much as possible. |

Ok, I filed it, although I messed it up because the form doesn't follow the same conventions this one does, and a couple of links I tried to post didn't work, besides it's not possible to edit the report once sent, or I haven't figured out how, so I can't remedy it; then I sent a comment twice, and then I had to attach the images that hadn't worked again. A disaster, in short. x'D.
Well, it was my first bug report for KDE; the nexts will be better, I hope. ![]() https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358561 |
