Hi,
There is a huge problem with KMail. It constantly goes out of sync with the server. If you view emails on webclient, Android, and desktop then KMail fails. Email marked read on webclient or Android will remain unread in KMail. I have tried syncing mail via check mail. I have restarted akonadi. That doesn't seem to help. Thanks. |

There are too few information to understand what the problem is. Sometihng that may help:
- Distribution version - KDE PIM version - Type of account (IMAP, Kolab, IMAP with offline mails) It would also be useful to restart Akonadi in a terminal and perform an email sync, and tehn pastebin the output that is produced to see if something goes awry when syncing mails.

I am on Fedora 23. I am using KMail 4.14.10. I am using Zoho IMAP. I do download emails for offline use.
Previously anytime I reported this issue it was easily dismissed by blaming Google. So I switched my email service to Zoho. The problem remains. I also use K-9 and Zoho's app on Android and they don't have this problem. https://paste.kde.org/pou0rcnhk |

Can you try clearing the cache of your folders? (Do it where you have no data constraints, as they will be redownloaded). Open "akonadiconsole", select "Browser", right click on each folder of your email account and select "Clear Akonadi Cache", then do a sync again from KMail.

Thanks. The problem is gone for now. I am worried that KMail can't be relied upon as I have had this problem several times in past year and a half. And it will crop up again.
