Hi,
In KMail, all system folders are on top and rest of the folders are arranged alphabetically. Spam folder on the other hand being a system folder is placed alphabetically. Is it a bug? Thanks. |

Would you mind posting an (anonymized) screenshot? I can't recall on top of my head if KMail has a specific folder type for spam.

Those folders at the top are "special" folders (they're handled differently) and so they're sorted before the others. Spam is a regular folder (KMail doesn't have, IIRC, a specialized folder type for spam) so it's shown alphabetically sorted with the ohters.

That's strange spam should also be a special folder like rest of those because spam is not created by users. It has a special function that once you put an email in their the sender is put up on a block list for future incomings. |

I see what you are saying. There's no way to set spam behavior in KMail hence it is considered as regular folder. I wonder how my email service Zoho responds to when I move an email to Spam folder or from spam to trash.

That's because they handle it differently (i.e., special-casing) as well. Some popular webmail software like Roundcube does the same thing: special folders on top (including Spam), then the rest alphabetically.
