Kmail don't show the Inbox content

Wed Apr 06, 2016 3:22 pm
Hi,

I have set up my openmailbox account in Kontact. It is working, since I can see all the emails I have received, which are situated in my subfolders.
But in my Inbox folder (my main folder, actually), nothing displays >:( . It is just white, no separation between the list and the preview, just a big white area.
I took a look at openmailbox forum, I found something here : https://forum.openmailbox.org/viewtopic.php?id=1326
But there's no solution for this.

Previously I was using Kubuntu 14.04 LTS, and Kmail was working fine :-\ , displaying everything well, so I can't understand why there is such a trouble.

It really is a problem because I wan't to avoid mixing GTK and KDE apps as much as possible, even if I know that Thunderbird handles it fine, I would like no to use it and use KDE default tools.

Could you help me please?

Which version of KMail are you using? I have an openmailbox account myself and I haven't seen these issues recently.

With the last Kmail shipped with Kubuntu 16.04.
Actually I found the solution of my problem : I had to disable server-side subscriptions, then display my messages as a simple list, ordered by date/time reception.

Found it thanks to old posts on this forum not about openmailbox, but with the same problem than me.

Not sure why server-side subscription causes this, but it's the case!

Just dealt with this issue tonight on a fresh opensuse tumbleweed kde install. This solved it for me as well. Thanks!!!
