I'm confused. Is the bug that's kept Kmail messages from being indexed and returned in searched patched or not patched?

Kubuntu 16.04 here is not indexing or returning Kmail in Krunner searches. All mail is being sync'd and downloaded. All search options are enabled. Folder properties are set to "Full Text Index". But, each folder is also labeled, "Still Not Indexed". None of the tricks and tweaks in this section of the forum have an impact.

It should be fixed at least in Applications 16.04 (which regrettably does not ship with Kubuntu 16.04). Last time I needed indexing + search, it worked reliably.
