Running kaddressbook 4.14.10.

I have added Google Contacts as one of the addressbooks. And there are a few hundred contacts.

When I try to search them from Alt-F2, it does not.

The krunner settings do not provide for kaddressbook search option specifically.

How do I enable searching for my contacts from krunner?

I am running Kaddressbook5 16.04.0, maybe your problem is you need the 5 version of KdePim, how is it you have KDE 4.14.8 and Plasma 5?

The poster there speaks my mind. I, too, like KDE principally because of excellent search ability.

I do not know. I have installed Fedor23 KDE Spin and have updated it till yesterday. Is it that I just need to wait? Is it that I need to configure kmail? I have not configured it as I use Thunderbird.

I don't know for sure but you very well may need addressbook5 for contacts to show in Krunner

in Kinforcenter what version of Frameworks is listed?

where are you told you are running 4.14.18? note: there are still some KDE 4 apps not ported so depending on the app ....

I'd ask Fedora where Kdepim 5 is, I think that's the issue

kinfocenter does not talk about any frameworks. See attached image:

In any Help -> About KDE dialogue. See attached image.

you need to ask on the Fedora forum where are the KDE 5 apps, this is a packaging thing not a KDE thing - according to you all the KDE apps in Fedora 23 are 4 including the ones (like Dolphin, KdePim, Kate and Konsole) that have already been ported
