Hi,
I have my kubuntu 16.04 from more than 2 week without any probleme, and now my Kmail client don't launch. I don't have made any new config. No more success By Kontact . I try with Konsole
I try removing trash by rm -rf .local/share/akonadi_maildir_resource_0/trash/ (this is the good location) but no more succes. How can i do to solve this? Already thank you. |

open kdebugdialog, deselect all, then search for akonadi and select all, then search for kmail and select all, then ok
errors/messages generated will be in file ~/.xsession-errors so delete the existing file run kmail and then check ~/.xsession-errors might want to try kdebugdialog with only kmail selected first |

can you create a new user and see if Kmail loads, that way we'll know if it's your config or the system

At your own risk you can try regenerating all the Akonadi stuff by removing the existing files, first make sure you have shut down Akonadi.
Make sure it has stopped: akonadi status Remove the following (combo of files and folders)
~/.config/akonadi* ~/.local/share/akonadi* Supposedly what data you will loose https://techbase.kde.org/KDE_PIM/Akonadi

Hi
Please, look at this: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.kd ... .pim/23269 I had the same problem. Just unchecked the "empty trash on exit" option and Kmail returned to normal operation. Sorry for my bad English. I I do not fully mastered that language. |
